Sketches

These are a few sketches of possible collect items for the game such as gems which could be picked up in the mansion level or money bags/bars in the bank.



These next two drawings are for possible fireplaces in the mansion level. As the theme for this level is still in discussion between artists I have tried to vary the style.




This is also a quick sketch of a hanging light that could be used in the mansion level.


New Concept

After a few meetings and discussions we decided to change the game up slightly. The setting for the game will now be based on two thieves who break into different places such as a museum, mansion and bank. These are a few moodboards to show the sort of style we are going for.

Here I have been working on some rough environment scenes for the levels. As we were at first going to be creating a game based on a prison break these are focused on that. For example these images show the prison courtyard, basement and prison cell which the character would have escaped from.

Character Concept

These are a few rough drawings I have done for the character Big. The theme I was going for was a tough guy sort of look but really a big softy with a cartoon feel.




These next drawings are concepts of the character Tiny. At the time these were done we were in the early stages of defining what the game was actually going to be about. As a result of this I experimented with age but kept the cartoon sort of style.
 






AGD Game Idea

In the early stages we decided to produce a light hearted 2D puzzle platformer set during a prison escape. There would be two main characters Tiny and Big which would be tied together and have to use each other to escape the prison.

After a few concept changes we then decided to change the setting a little bit. The game would now be set in different places such as a mansion or museum. The characters had a little makeover and would now be robbers stealing from these places. The mechanics have also been altered slightly , but working as a team to complete the levels is still the same.

As I am one of three artists working on this game I have currently been creating moodboards for different environments in the game, and also character concepts.
